About Me

With over 26 years of experience in the hair and beauty industry, beauty has been much more than a career for me — it has been a huge part of my life.

I hold a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and a Certificate II in Nail Technology, and I am currently completing my Certificate III in Hairdressing, continuing to grow my skills and expand the services I can offer.

My journey as a business owner began with Adore You Nail & Beauty, which I initially ran from a small salon at home. What started as a home-based business continued to grow, and after approximately six years I took the next step and expanded into my own shopfront. This was a big milestone for me and gave me the opportunity to grow my clientele, expand my services and create a dedicated space where women could come to relax, be pampered and feel good about themselves.

The next chapter of my career saw me become a co-owner of Nail Bling, where I worked alongside Corinne for seven years. Together, we created a busy and welcoming salon offering a wide range of services including nails, manicures and pedicures, lash extensions, lash lifts and tinting, waxing, massage and facials.

After seven years, I decided it was time to branch out on my own again and create a salon that reflected everything I had learned throughout my years in the industry. This led me to open Beauty Studio 2444, which I have now successfully owned and operated for three and a half years.

Today, Beauty Studio 2444 is home to three talented independent hairdressers — Tanya, Lynn and Vanessa — as well as my long-term friend and business partner-in-crime, Tennille.

Tennille is a huge part of Beauty Studio 2444 and works alongside me with the day-to-day running of the salon. While we each have our own businesses, our relationship is much more like a partnership than simply sharing a space. We bounce ideas off each other, support one another and work together to make the studio the welcoming place it is today.

Together, we are a great group of women who genuinely love what we do and take pride in creating a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere.

One of the things I love most about Beauty Studio 2444 is the little community we have created. I want our salon to be somewhere women feel comfortable walking through the door — somewhere they feel safe, welcomed and part of our salon family. It is a place where you can have a laugh, have a chat, take some time for yourself and hopefully walk back out feeling like the best version of yourself.

After more than 26 years in this industry, I still genuinely love what I do. I believe you are never too experienced to learn something new, which is why I am now completing my Certificate III in Hairdressing. I am excited about this next chapter and look forward to adding professional hairdressing to my extensive experience in beauty and nails.

For me, the hair and beauty industry has never been just about making someone look good. It is about building relationships, creating confidence and helping people feel good about themselves.
