What to Expect at Your Appointment
We start with a consultation about the shape, tone and depth of colour you're after, mapping out the lip line before we begin so you can see and approve it first. A numbing cream is applied to keep you comfortable, since lips can be more sensitive than brows or eyeliner. Colour is built up gradually in layers rather than in one pass.
Healing & Aftercare
Lips go through a more visible healing process than brows or eyeliner: expect the colour to look bold and slightly darker for the first few days, followed by some light flaking or peeling as the top layer heals, before settling into the true, softer final colour over the following weeks. This is completely normal, so don't judge the result in the first week. We'll talk you through aftercare, including keeping your lips moisturised, avoiding spicy food and hot drinks in the first few days, and staying out of direct sun. A touch-up a few weeks later is a normal part of the process.
